Graduate, Undergraduate and RIOH positions
We are always looking for qualified and motivated individuals join our dynamic team. Undergraduate students who are interested in working in our lab may register in an experiential learning course offered by your home department, or may conduct an honours thesis project with departmental approval. We welcome students from basic sciences and engineering. If you are interested please contact Dr. Leung to learn more.
Students seeking graduate positions at the Master’s (MASc) or Doctorate (PhD) levels in the School of Biomedical Engineering are encouraged to contact Dr. Leung with you CV, transcript and a brief description of your research interests. For on-going research topics in the lab, please visit our current projects page. Prospective applicants should have completed a 4-yr BSc. or BASc. program with prior research experience. Suitable background of studies includes biological sciences (cellular & molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, computational biology), chemistry (polymers, biomaterials) and engineering (chemical, mechanical, material sciences). Students who are interested in the general areas of tissue engineering, biomaterials and microfabrication are encouraged to apply. Students with other scientific and engineering backgrounds who are interested in our research should also apply.
We also have several spots each year for Dalhousie DDS students pursuing RIOH projects. Some of these project can be hands-on wet-lab based, depending on trainees experience and preference. Please contact Dr. Leung for more information.
